How To Create a Nail Design with 2 Different Colors
Choose Your Colors and Prep Your Nails
When it comes to picking colors for your two-color nail design, the possibilities are limitless! Choose colors that will complement each other, such as a bright pink and a light purple, or a blue and a green. Once you’ve chosen your colors, it’s time to prep your nails. Make sure to file, buff, and push back cuticles before getting started.
Paint the Base Color
Start by painting a base coat of the color that you want to be the primary color of your design. Make sure to use thin coats and to let each coat dry before adding the next. Once you’ve added two or three coats of your base color, it’s time to move on to the next step.
Create the Accent Color
Now it’s time to create your accent color! Choose a paintbrush with a thin tip and begin to create your design. This could be a simple stripe, a polka-dot pattern, or a more intricate design. Remember to be creative and have fun! Once you’ve achieved your desired look, allow your design to dry completely.
Seal the Design
To make sure that your design lasts, add a clear topcoat. This will help to seal in the design and prevent it from chipping or fading. Once you’ve added a topcoat, it’s time to sit back and admire your two-color nail design.
Additional Tip:
If you’re having trouble creating a design with a thin brush, try using a dotting tool. This will help you to create a more precise design with ease.
